Join Scouting Night Training
Aug 19 at the Housatonic
Council office at
7 pm. Join Scouting Night training. We have a few
changes and announcements. Fall
recruitment is critical for unit success. Attending the
joining night training will provide your unit with the
latest tools needed.
I realize some of you will be on
vacation. If your Cubmaster, Committee chairperson or
membership coordinator cannot make this training, Please
send someone from your unit. Commissioners are always
welcome.

Popcorn Sale Kickoff
The annual Popcorn Sale is almost here. It's a great
opportunity to raise funds for your unit's program while also supporting the
programs at Camp Strang and throughout the Council. The Kick-Off will be
held
on Monday, August 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Service Center.
Units that have two volunteers in attendance will receive an additional 2%
commission on popcorn sales!

CAMP HEALTH OFFICER TRAINING
This training, which used to be available only on diskette, has been updated
and added to the National BSA Web site as a PowerPoint file. While the
primary audience for this training is individuals who serve as a camp health
officer at a council or district camp, it may serve as a helpful reference
for any adult leader who conducts or participates in outdoor activities. The
