Annual Rabies Clinic Sunday, June 10,
2007
The Housatonic Council, Boy Scouts of America have
scheduled their Annual Rabies Clinic for Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the
Council Service Center at 326 Derby Avenue, Derby. The Rabies Clinic,
which will run from 12:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. is being conducted by Dr.
Marc Reynolds of the Oxford Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Reynolds is donating his time this year for this worthwhile event to
support the Housatonic Valley Boy Scouts and animal health, via this
important program.
The public is invited to participate and should bring their cat or dog
to the Council Service Center. The cost for each shot is $12.00. Pet
owners should bring their pet’s last rabies certificate to the clinic if
they would like their pet to receive a three-year vaccination. Dogs and
Cats that have not received a rabies shot, or that don’t have shot
records, will receive a
rabies shot that is good for one year. All animals attending the clinic
must either be leashed or confined in a carrier.
The rabies clinic is a fundraiser for the Housatonic Council as well as
a service to the community which has been provided for over 20 years.
