The Housatonic Council, Boy Scouts of America have scheduled their Annual Rabies Clinic for Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Council Service Center at 326 Derby Avenue, Derby.  The Rabies Clinic, which will run from 12:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. is being conducted by Dr. Marc Reynolds of the Oxford Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Reynolds is donating his time this year for this worthwhile event to support the Housatonic Valley Boy Scouts and animal health, via this important program.

The public is invited to participate and should bring their cat or dog to the Council Service Center.  The cost for each shot is $12.00. Pet owners should bring their pet’s last rabies certificate to the clinic if they would like their pet to receive a three-year vaccination. Dogs and Cats that have not received a rabies shot, or that don’t have shot records, will receive a
rabies shot that is good for one year. All animals attending the clinic must either be leashed or confined in a carrier.

The rabies clinic is a fundraiser for the Housatonic Council as well as a service to the community which has been provided for over 20 years.
